How different times throughout the day can change the results of your picture...

important to note when choosing your time slot!

Early Morning

5AM Time Slots

One of my most popular time slots of all - after all, the sun rises on the east coast! This session tends to be a lot cooler... considering the sun hasn't risen yet and the weather has had all night to cool down. In the South Florida heat, this time slot is perfect for those looking to stay in the shade and shoot the perfect sunrise background.

Morning

8AM Time Slots

For this session, the sun has already risen. It is bright, skies are typically most clear during this timeslot. This is especially great for getting those airy clouds, soft light and temperatures that still tend to be fairly cool.

Mid-day

12pm Time Slots

My brightest, boldest time yet. This time is perfect for those editorial shots. The type of shot that feel warm and sunny and reminiscent of a good day in Florida. The sun is peaking at this time, fully overhead. This time slot is my hottest shoot of the day, the temperatures can be at the highest point they will be for the day. I only recommend this for the person searching for a more stylized look.

Evenings

6pm Time Slots

My second most popular time slot for the sunsets and golden hour photoshoots. The temperatures take a dip during this time, while still offering a sunny glow perfectly fitting to all complexions.

Hi! I’m Mary, the photographer behind Mary’s Photo Studio!

My goal is simple: to make beautiful, professional photography more affordable and accessible to families, expecting mothers, and working professionals. I photograph clients throughout South Florida, but I always love staying close to my home base in Homestead, FL.

My love for photography started shortly after I begged my parents for a camera during the 2008 housing crash (horrible timing, I know). What started as a childhood obsession slowly turned into years of learning, practicing, and finding every excuse possible to have a camera in my hands.

In 2020, I finally worked up the courage to take photography seriously and spent time in NYC, where I learned, diversified my work, and really began finding my style. Later, a short stint in California gave me the opportunity to grow creatively, take workshops, join photography communities, and continue developing my craft.

But the road here definitely wasn’t linear.

For years, I built my photography business alongside a corporate career in finance — learning how to run a business while also learning how to become a better photographer. Photography was always the passion, but actually giving myself permission to pursue it fully took a little longer.

Now I’m back in my home state of good ol’ Florida, and after years of balancing both worlds, I finally decided it was time to give Mary’s Photo Studio my full attention. It’s a big leap, a long-overdue one, and one I’m incredibly excited to take.

Along the way, I’ve also learned just how quickly professional photography can become expensive. There are plenty of reasons for that (and I promise I won’t bore you with the overhead costs), but I’ve made it a huge part of my mission to create options that make professional photos more accessible. Whether you need a headshot for work, want to document your growing family, or simply want beautiful photos of the people you love, I never want the price alone to be the reason you don’t have them.

I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me — and even more excited to meet all the people who become part of it.

See you in front of my camera!
